The Bristol Festival 2008 comes in two parts

BRIZZOLFEST: Llyods Amphitheatre, Bristol City Centre 11am-10pm both Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st Sep 08.

For Lloyds Amphitheatre head to Bristol city centre, follow signs to the @-Bristol Centre and our entrance is at the end of Canon's Way (off Anchor Road) by Millennium Square with the big silver globe! Postcode: BS1 5LL

The nearest parking is right by the entrance where there is an NCP with full disabled access. The nearest parking for vans is next to the Thekla ship on The Grove, which is just 5 minutes walk away via Pero’s ("Horny") Bridge.

As we are right in the city centre the best way to get here is by public transport! All buses lead to the city centre and there are park and ride services from Portway, Long Ashton and Bath Road (for more information call 01179 222910. Walk along the waterfront past the Watershed or towards the @-Bristol centre and you'll find us.

You can also avoid the gate queues and take a ferry from various points around the city and sail right into the festival! Prices are £1.90 per journey, see www.bristolferry.com for timetables.

If you are coming to Bristol by train arrive into Temple Meads station and either walk (15 minutes) or take the ferry to the festival.

Additional bike racks will be present outside the festival entrance. Don't forget your lock.

We are really sorry but no dogs except guide dogs allowed on site.

You may be searched on the way in. Please don’t bring glass bottles or alcohol with you. The no glass rule is obvious –we’re on hard floors which could mean nasty breakages. As for the alcohol rule we apologise but it’s the way things are these days… it’s a licensing and safety rule. But please don’t then down any drinks you may have on you at the gate, as that would have the opposite effect! Use the store and collect service where the helpful gate staff will safely store your alcohol until you can collect it on the way out.

There will be two bars on site, one with cans for faster service, and a traditional oak panelled pub serving a range of locally produced beers and ciders along with some traditional favourites. Prices will be reasonable and profits all go towards the festival, which is one of the ways we managed to keep the entry price so low.  So.. do your bit for the festival –have a pint!

NB A strict Challenge 21 policy will be in place across the site so if you are lucky enough to appear under 21 you will need ID.
